...theology rooted in the Protestant Reformers (Martin Luther, Ulrich Zwingli, John Calvin), the Westminster Confession of Faith and the Westminster Shorter Catechism, affirming God's absolute sovereignty over all His creation, salvation by a single covenant of grace to one unified people in both the Old and New Testaments, total depravity of humankind, unconditional election of believers, limited atonement (sufficient for the whole world yet limited in being efficacious to God's people alone), irresistible grace by the drawing of the Holy Spirit, and the guaranteed perseverance of the saints to the very end by God's own power to work within us all things for our good and His glory
EVANGELICAL
...unswervingly committed to the inspiration, inerrancy, and infallibility of Scripture, the purity of gospel truth (ex. biblical gender and sexuality in male and female genders alone, marriage between one man and one woman alone, biblical conduct, character, and above-reproach qualifications for spiritual leaders, etc.), seeking to live out a gospel-centered life with integrity and within a gospel-cultured community founded on sound doctrine
PRESBYTERIAN
...a church protected by the oversight of elected pastoral and lay presbyters (Elders) as outlined in Scripture (1 TIMOTHY 3:1-7; TITUS 1:5-9), guarding the purity of sound doctrine, shepherding God's flock willingly with integrity and humility (1 PETER 5:1-5), and upholding the sacrament of water baptism in particular to be given for all ages and members of Christian households (from infancy to adulthood) as a sign and seal of God's initiating-undeserved grace and immersion into the Holy Spirit over immersing the whole body into physical water (one method where water is plenty, but not necessarily the only method)
EGALITARIAN
...a firm biblical belief that although distinct complementarian gender roles exist within a covenant marriage between husband and wife, these marital gender-specific roles cannot be equivalized to offices for spiritual leadership within the church-at-large, as if the husband imagery is in male Pastors/Elders alone while the wife imagery is in female Deaconesses. Rather, it is Jesus Christ who is the sole husband/the bridegroom, who lays His life down for His wife/bride - the church (both men and women included). We are the bride (both men and women) - not the bridegroom (the God-man Jesus Christ). The responsibility then to lead, teach, nurture, and prepare this bride, bringing her to Christ, does not rest on the shoulders of just one gender's pastoral leadership/eldership/servanthood, but rather is held to account on both genders. Therefore, both men and women are called by God to grow into occupying and serving with their spiritual giftings in all offices of spiritual leadership (Pastor, Elder, Deacon, Missionary, Teacher, etc.), regardless of gender (male or female), age, or ethnicity for the building-up of His church and edification of the entire body of Jesus Christ
MISSIONAL
...enduringly fixed on fulfilling the Great Commission to go into all the world and preach the gospel - making, maturing, and multiplying disciples of Jesus Christ by gathering as one, growing as followers, and going as ambassadors in His name, beginning with our spheres of influence in the north Dallas area (Carrollton/Lewisville), Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex, and to the very ends of the earth, baptizing every nation into the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey all that Jesus had commanded in the Scriptures, assured that He is with us to the very end (MATTHEW 28:18-20)
We are a member church of the Covenant Order of Evangelical Presbyterians (ECO) denominational family - a gospel-movement whose mission is to recapture the best of the conservative Reformed-Presbyterian heritage and build flourishing churches that make disciples, saturating the world with the transforming power of Jesus Christ.
