Dear Bethany family,
Wednesday has already arrived again! Our college family is perhaps well on their way to their first classes. Those of us in the working world - we press on in our respective professions, jobs, and callings. As now young adults and adults, life keeps moving forward. Yet in these times, we also need to simultaneously look backwards. Retrospect is just as important as prospect. For our midweek family, we have covered a massive sixteen chapters in the gospel according to John. Instead of just bulldozing forward, it is important to review and restore the truths we've learned. Also, as the seasons of life progress, we all need to stop and reflect. Such as my uncle passing away last Saturday (https://www.dignitymemorial.com/obituaries/des-plaines-il/sun-kim-10886914?utm_source=facebook&utm_medium=referral&utm_campaign=share_obit&utm_content=obituary), even I myself need a little time to reflect and restore the truths of God's Word to the very painful seasons in life. Our walk today will be a "DESSERT & SHARE" time (desserts provided generously by our Teacher Heather!), sharing where the Lord has guided us to walk with Him, as well as sharing meditations on our own sorrows, griefs, and times of loss. Let us take heart in our *sweet* Jesus together, who always brings sunshine after the rain! Bless you and Lord-willing, come to our "DESSERT & SHARE" tonight at the Fellowship Room (across from Ezra Chapel) for a time of praise, dessert, and sharing, at the usual time 7:15pm. Bless you!
